When did you have an opportunity to learn from your CEO?
Last night, Curtis Hite shared with colleagues, family, and friends his vision for the future of capitalism at our Dallas Improving office.
It was a discussion that walked us through the history of prior systems organized around value exchange.
We have a unique moment to help improve the value exchange framework much of the world uses today.
I’m excited about the future of where we can go based on the foundations that have been laid for us to build on.
Last week wrapped up on a high note with our Conscious Capitalism Dallas monthly event.
We have been covering the four tenants of Conscious Capitalism, and this month’s discussion covered conscious leadership.
Greg Magennis led us through the process of “appreciative inquiry” during the conversation.
There is great value in learning to see each other and to be present and working for each other’s well-being.
In product development, we should seek to see the people we serve with the products we build. As well, we should connect to them that allows us to empathize with their challenges.
Teamwork then becomes an outcome we can experience because we have connected to our clients and customers. We seek to build shared understanding among ourselves, and with our stakeholders.
Conscious Capitalism Dallas had its monthly event last evening.
We all met at First United Bank‘s offices in Plano, Texas for a social with food, drinks, and “Teeny, Tiny, Ted Talks” from three of our chapter members.
This is the future of capitalism. It is nearly 50 people from many walks of life connecting and discussing business with a higher purpose.
We all recognize the value of the economic system and the need to evolve it into a better system.
Why else would any of us come together mid-week from different parts of town?
Check out my post from yesterday afternoon about the conference we’re hosting in May. If the pictures below create FOMO (fear of missing out) in you, then you should attend the larger gathering in Dallas.
BTW, every day is like the CCD social event at the Dallas Improving office. In fact, I missed joining my work colleagues for an after-hours social event so that I could hang out with CCD members! 😁
I was delighted by the scheduling conflict between two great culture-centric gatherings!
