Product experience is what I’m about.
Omni PGA Frisco Resort provides a great product experience. The design and layout of the facilities are inviting.
My wife and I took a walk at the PGA District yesterday. It is becoming one of the activities we enjoy.
With this in mind, I would like for you to consider these points.
💡 Guide your customer, client, or user through their experience.
💡 Help them emotionally connect to the product you create.
💡 Present them options that delight and surprise them because you thought about their desires, needs, and wants.
💡 Reduce friction between your experience and their ability to access and enjoy it.
P.S. What would you add to the list above?

Do you get things right, the first time?
I definitely don’t. It takes me many attempts, invested hours, and painful learning to get it “right”.
“Champions keep playing until they get it right.” – Billie Jean King
The quote above applies to product development as well as sports.
We don’t like the idea of having to repeat the same work over and over to get a product to work.
Making small adjustments seems to be effort better spent on tackling larger challenges.
It is in the small, seemingly insignificant changes that make a product move from good to great.
How does that happen?
Teams should focus on what is working, while coaches help them surface the small opportunities to improve their performance.
A review of past performance is a time when this can take place. Asking the following questions can help bring out those opportunities for improvement.
What worked? – Celebrate the wins, small and large
What did not work? – List the behaviors that impacted performance
What could be improved? – Prioritize one or two behaviors to improve on over a defined time period
P.S. What has your experience been like with team performance reviews?
