Here are some tips for product development.
💡 Keep the product simple
💡 Ask for customer feedback early and often
💡 Only build as much as needed for feedback
💡 Focus on the highest value work first
💡 Break work down to small units that can be done in less than 2 or 3 days
Product development is a journey. Work to continuously improve the product as the journey progresses.

In product development, “Done is better than Perfect”.
“Don’t spend so much time trying to choose the perfect opportunity that you miss the right opportunity.” – Michael Dell
Fast feedback loops will get teams to better each time they present their latest version of the product.
The bottom line is the product will never be perfect, it can always be better. Better means it evolves to the changing needs, desires, and wants of the customer.
If your teams are struggling to get the product done, please let me know.
If your teams are struggling to make the product better, I can assist with that as well.
Our Improving team is filled with people like me who understand the importance of both “better” and “done”.

The photos below represent new products being built.
We’ve lived in our neighborhood for nearly seven years. Our street ended two houses to the east of our home.
We knew when we picked our neighborhood that it would change, and the potential for our street to extend was understood.
The new homes in the subdivision to our east are evolved and updated based on customer preferences. Builders take note of trends inside and outside their industry.
The same happens in product development in other industries. Often it’s a gradual progression that is hardly noticed.
At times, it is a radical update that cannot help but be noticed. Think about the 5 to 10-year run on automobile designs and how the next generation sometimes doesn’t resemble the prior generation.
If the product development is disconnected from the customer’s or client’s needs, wants, and desires, will it be successful in the market?
